Smoking & Stalling when towing

This is my 1st diesel: F350 2002 7.3 dually: so I'm a total greenhorn. Lately it's been starting hard & has to "warm up" or it will loose power & stall. Even tho it's not cold out.

My hubby borrowed my truck to move some hay. He got upset cause she stalled & died on him several times. Usually when coming to a stop. There was also black smoke, which I never noticed when it happened to me. He's gotta get his own truck!

Ok game plan is to:
change oil
change fuel filter
already drained water
put some Diesel Kleen in tank (been using out of farm tank)

So you "old pros" would you replace the IPR o-rings or both the IPR & rings? Some have mentioned getting them at the IH dealer, dumb question can you get filters & other stuff there too?
