Fuel in the exhaust manifolds?
Hey,
Had a question my father has a F250 Diesel and he was driving home one day and half way home his truck started blowing white smoke, shook like hell, it wouldn't crank over. He pulled the engine and found his exhaust manifolds FULL of fuel. He has no idea whats the problem...any ideas? Thanks Alot. |

Sounds like what I just went through. Had an injector fail in such a way that it just p!ssed fuel into the cylinder whenever the rail was pressurized.
Hydrolocked the engine so it wouldn't turn over. Since the exhaust is joined by a Y before the turbo, both manifolds can collect the diesel that pumps through the cylinder with the bad injector. Buzz test will tell you if you have the problem I did. |
