tensioner/idler deposits

Hello,

I was looking at my serpentine belt and thinking of replacing it when I noticed small round like deposits on the tensioner and idler wheels. I can only assume they are not good for my belt, however I'm not sure what to do about them. Clean, replace or nothing. Thank you.

Yes, they are round bumps. They belt only has 53,000 miles on it but it is a 2002. I figured it was about time for time reasons if nothng else. I can try to get some pics....never done that before.

try to clean them off with a wire brush when your belt is off.
