When I made the recording we were on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere. My buddies were riding with me, so that's who you hear in the background.

I use the bus about 8 months out of the year to tour with - I'm a full time touring musician. Plus since I converted it to run on waste vegetable oil, I saved about $20,000 in fuel expenses last year. So $8000 is a little much, but by saving the bus, I'll save that much on fuel in about 2 months.

Do you think ,now that you located the rods that you could have found the push-rods with the assistance of a flexcam??

Hmmm, I suppose so. I couldn't see anything until I got the head off, and then the whole bent rod was deep in there, and the broken rod was even deeper.

If I could squeeze a flex cam down into the pushrod bore, I may have seen them down there. But there would have been NO WAY to get them out with the head still on.

While I have your ear guys, the last part still on the engine core is the HPOP and I can't figure out how to get this guy off!

I started a thread about it here if anyone wants to see pics of what I'm talking about and can offer any advice...

How the heck do I remove the HPOP?!

Well, I've got everything torn down and laid out. I thought I'd drop a line to you guys who were following this to see if there was any interest in buying some of these parts from my old engine before I start putting them up on eBay.

(Dirk already has dibs on the Injectors and a few other parts)

I'd be willing to bet that a flexmagnet and a proctologist could have gotten it out...
