I have a 97 powerstroke with 97k miles on it. I recently found a bad fuel leak. I can't find the source but i leak from or around the starter and bell housing. It only leakes when the truck is running and leaves about a three inch spot in 15 mins. Looking at the top of the motor i can see no wet spot or possibly spots. Its like its coming from the inside of the motor. any help please.....

check the drain from the fuel filter bowl. Mine was leaking about the same amount and it was the o rings in the valve for the drain.

if you have a 97 model truck , the most comon leak is the vacuum switch n the side or the in valley fuel pump itself ,9 out of 10 obs fuel leaks that i see are the vacuum switch looks like old school oil sending unit on side offuel filter housing ,look there first
