replaced starter, now it wont hit over

The starter was making a noise when cranking, I changed the started and now it will spin over but wont start up. the only two things i did was, during removall i took it loose from the motor and left wires hooked up, had my wife try to start so i could hear if the starter was making the noise. had a brain fart becuase i forgot that it has to be ground to the motor to work. so it did nothing and then i remember about the ground. I wouldn't think that would have done anything but thought i would through it in there incase. The other things was i didn't disconnect the battery like most lazy people and it arched out once. not long though. other than those two things, it was a normal install. now it will spin over fine just won't crank up. I check all the fuses in the cab and under the hood, none are blown. ANY IDEAS???

Your batteries have enough juice, right? Truck's trying to crank but won't turn over? I know it's possible that this isn't related, but have you had your CPS replaced? Usually a short arc shouldn't do serious damage, but try taking the starter out & bench testing it.
