hard to start HELP

2000 e450 with 7.3 has trouble starting, in morning , just when colder out, turns over excellent

where is the glow plug relay located on the e450?

will the relay being bad cause a hard start when cold? thanks

If the relay is bad then it won't allow the glow plugs to operate properly resulting in your hard start. I believe the relay is located by the passenger side valve cover. It looks like a starter relay. I will try to find a pic for you.

Ok check this link. It will show you the locations of both the air intake heater and the glow plug relay. Glow Plug / AIH Relay locations
