Do I need the EBP sensor?

I pulled up some codes on my truck and one of them said the exhuast back pressure sensor was bad. i was told to replace the tube goin to it and the sensor its self. But while looking on the web for this part i saw that u can just buy a delete sensor. do i even need the sensor...? is it important..? thanks

no you dont need it, but you have to delete it from the pedistol and make sure the tube is clean, because it will damper preformance.

I believe he's talking about deleting the sensor, you're talking about deleting the valve?
