intermittin misfire 99 superduty

I have an intermittin miss, happens some times, after I drive for 60 to 100 miles, IT will start missing , but not always, let it sit over night it might miss really bad , like its running on 4 or5 cylinders or might run fine, dosn't seem to matter what the out side temp is, I've changed the UVH and the valve cover gaskets, fuel fillter twice, oil twice, CPS and checked the harness to the valve cover, have 1 code P1211 , could it be the IPR or the ICP, the dealer thinks its the IDM, and I'm getting tired of throwing money at it, also truck has 175,00 miles and starts and runs great when its not missing. any thoughts or ideas? thanks.

Your next best bet is to run a buzz test to check for IDM codes & a contribution test to check the injectors. This can be done with a scan tool that has diesel diag capabilities with functional tests.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?
