Motor Surge Problems
Hello I'm new here first off I have a 2000 F-350 7.3 powerstroke deisel with 140,xxx on the clock. It's ran like a champ up until now the only performance upgrade is a hypertech programmer. In cold weather it takes quite a few cranks for it to start, while idle it will surge its almost vacuum sounding when you start to drive it will still surge if you accelerate it goes away as soon as you stop accelerating the surging comes back. The service engine soon just came on a buddy pulled the codes and it turns out 2,4,6,8 glowplugs are dead. Can a whole side just die like that? Also what are some decent glow plugs? Anything else I should know before I get into this? Thanks in advance...
