Unhappy Is it the Fuel Pump?

I proudly own a 96 Ford CC, with a 7.3 DPS that just quit when I pulled up to a stop light. I keep excellent care of my truck, and cant figure out what is wrong with it. It will idle for hours but wont pull her own weight when trying to drive, just like it was not getting enough fuel. Fuel filter and all tune up things were done a week prior with no problems till she died. If it is the fuel pump, is that something that a back yard mech. can do? If it is not the fuel pump does anyone know what it might be? I really miss driving my truck, and my wife wants her car back.:

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Have you checked your fuel press?

It may be a CPS or injector harness problem.
