keep burning out starters???

hey new to the site and need some help. i relpaced the starter on my 2000 7.3 with bout 200K. it wasnt burnt up just sounding weak. i got the new starter from the local hedahls parts store. worked for a day and then it got stuck engaged and burnt itself out before i could get the battery cables unhooked. i thought it was a bad starter and got another one they warrentied it and it lasted bout a week and the same thing happened. am i getting poor quality starters or maybe have a bigger problem. i did notice a "clicking" sound from my ignition in the steering column a few times wondering if maybe thats geting stuck????> i dont wanna keep changing out these starters its cold out!!
