new glow plug solenoid making noise

hey guys I have a 2000 7.3 and there is no telling how long my glow plug solenoid has been broken, but I just put a new one in and it makes alot of noise when I first turn the ignition on. any ideas, do you think this solenoid is just bad?

That's normal for a NAPA GPR. I wouldn't worry. Just as long as your truck starts OK & it's not billowing white smoke, you should be fine.

No problems! Next time, get your hands on the Stancor GPR. The NAPA part isn't bad, but the Stancor unit is beefier, & from what I've heard, they last longer!
