10k problem....

the other day i installed the 10k resistor....it snowed and i had to plow so i wanted to take it out...after doing so i plugged the sensor back in and truck ran fine for a minute....then idled like junk....went to rev it up and it very slowly reved and after i took my foot off the gas it stalled......had check engine light on and it wouldnt go off.....re-installed the 10k and runs fine....any clue? Maybe the 10k resistor wire stretched the female plug and wasnt getting proper connection??? I have no idea...

1280:
Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low
1211:
Injector Control Pressure Higher/Lower than desired (engine on)
1210:
Injector Control Pressure Higher than desired (engine off)
1729:
4x4 Low switch

Try unplugging the ICP sensor and see if the idle changes.

1211 is common with 10k i believe. As for 1280 and 1210, I don't think they are common with doing 10k. If unpluging the icp helps, it might be the icp sensor going or maybe bad/frayed wiring or bad connection to icp sensor.

Yes try unplugging the sensor and it will go back to an automatic setting for the HPOP pressure. It's not THAT common with the mod but if the sensor gets messed up that happens. You're not the first. It is very delicate. Gotta be careful with the mod. I think you hit it on the head more than likely in your first post there. Because typically ... it idles funny with a resistor ... if you take out the resistor and it still idles funny or worse or whatever, ... it HAS actual resistance now, so the sensor is screwed up. Be it terminals or what have you.

1211 is the one it sets, that description is what the resistor DOES. So that's nothing to worry about. I'm thinking it's the sensor. NO idea on the 4x4 though.
