2000 Excursion 7.3 died, won't start codes present p0603 p1000 p1670
Hey guys I am new here. I have a question. I was driving to work when my excursion died and I could not start it up again.
Had it towed to my friends shop and scanned it. there were 3 codes which he says he never seen before. p0603 - Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error p1000- OBD II monitors/drive cycle incomplete and p1670 - Electronic Feedback Signal Not Detected . Anybody has any idea what it could be. I have a feeling that my PCM is gone but maybe you guys had that problem before. I appreciate any help thanx Luke |

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P1670 and P1668
DTC P1668 and P1670 indicates that a communication error has occurred between the PCM and the IDM. Possible causes: Open fuse IDM relay Open or shorted IDM enable circuit Open/short in EF circuit Open/short in FDCS circuit IDM powering circuits PCM straight from the ford manual. Thanks DjsDiesel, I already figured it out. Took ALLLLLLLLLLLL the fuses out, cleaned them out and the truck fired up and ran just like new
. Must have been bad connection somewhere. I am just glad it wasn't the PCM. Oh and no there was no other codes in there. Thx again- Luke.
