Battery light

Ok, here's my problem. The battery light on my truck keeps coming on while driving and flashes intermittently. The batteries and alternator are less than a year old, and it's been doing this same thing for the last month now. The batteries are keeping charged up and I have had no problems with cold starts. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you have the older carquest brand they had problems with that. Mine was doing the same exact thing so I changed it and no more issues....

It's not a carquest brand, it's a napa alternator. Have you heard anything about them?

if you installed anything other than a ford motorcraft alternator this is what happens , see it all the time, replace the alternator with original equipment

No, but I never had a NAPA close to me until just recently.

Scuffy knows what he is talking about so I would try another alt...

Check the small single wire that plugs in alot of times that connection gets loose causing the light to flicker. But a motorcraft alt would be my choice also.

That just sucks, because I get a heck of a discount on napa parts.
