how many time have you tried to start the truck? how many times did you let the wait to start to go off before you tried to start. my 97 does the same thing in the cold if i dont plug it in some time i have to turn it over for bout 5-10sec and let it set for bout 20-30secs and try it again, an again then it will start an cover about an acre of land in white smoke but its normal it happens try that if that don't work let me know but if not your glow plugs many be bad, or gpr

make sure your GP's are actually turning on. I had a similar issue where my PCM stopped sending a signal to the GPR. So, I had to rig up a custom GP switch. Let me know if you figure it out. Otherwise I will hook you up with the diagram and parts list. A few on this sight have adopted my design, works great. And your GP's dont turn on when you turn the key to listen to music.

Soak a rag with some gasoline and put it over the air intake. Crank it up and remove rag.
