Code 1316 after 8 new injectors installed

This weekend I put 8 new injectors in my truck, due to rough running AND 366000 on original injectors. I just cleaned and reinstalled original VCG's, the truck now has a slight miss at idle, it has a soft SES light (only comes on when foot is on the accelerator, off when coasting), I smell fuel every now and then, we put the scanner on it and it says IDM. The truck also starts hard in the am (turns over SEVERAL tims then fires-dies after a few secs then runs after 2nd restart, going down the hiway it runs good.. anyone with where i need to look ??

How many miles have you driven? Are you getting the code from a buzz test or have you run a buzz test?

Mech said he did the buzz test and got the code, I got the code on my Diablo too.. For RadarRider that would be VALVE COVER GASKETS, sorry for the confusion..

Electrical issue somewhere. Unplug and re-plug the connector on the driver side VC. Retest. If still failing, pull the VC's and check the harness on both sides. Are you sure that code was not there before the work?

UVCHarness for sure.

Make sure they're intact and plugged in together correctly.

The SES light has never been on, this is the first time, Im assuming the code was never there, i hope its the driverside connector. Im leaving work now but will be back on in 1 hour. thanx for all the help.. Be back shortly... So far I think this is a great site. is it a spinoff of the Dieselstop, that was an aggrivating site..

i would bet you knocked an injector connector loose during reinstalling valve cover , a buzz test will tell you which side the problem is on , p1316 means there is an electrical issue , buzz test will pinpoint which cylinder

Exactly. I'm just concerned if he had a 1268 or anything else with the code during the buzz test (or any other code that the diablo wouldn't pick up on).
