boost pressure

I recently installed some autometer gauges, and was a little surprised when I saw what my boost actually is. The truck is stock besides the mods in my sig, and is fairly slow, so I wasn't completely surprised, but I thought it would put out more than what it does. Cruising I have 2 psi, normal acceleration might reach 5 psi, all-out WOT maxes out at 12. Are these numbers low, or normal for a stock engine with 250,000 miles?

That's low. Check your up pipes and intercooler boots. I get 15-16 psi on stock tune and I have 287k on my truck.

Pull the intake pipe off the turbo and check out the turbo wheel.

Thanks...I suspect up pipes. I have removed all the boots, degreased all the oil from them and tightened the clamps. I had the spider off, and the compressor wheel looks good and has no play in it. I think I can even hear an exhaust leak
