Stripped starter bolt holes

So leaving work yesterday I noticed my starter sounded weird and then it started to free wheel. I crawled underneath to find the top bolt on the starter was missing and the bottom was barely hanging on. Tightened the bottom bolt an truck started fine. Went to napa and matched the bolt and got two different lengths. Got home to put the bolt in and got it slightly tight but kept spinning. I tried the other bolt was same, kept spinning. I got a tap set at harbor freight what size should I use and any other options to repair? Thanks

Helicoil would be a better method, if you just tap out the hole you will have to go up one size on the bolt, that bigger bolt may not fit through the starter mount hole.

Would a auto parts store have that?
