fuel filters

I recently had an issue with my truck having a long crank and when it fired it would lope for a few seconds i beat my brains for 3 months trying to figure this out I had been running puralator filters because i dont have the factory lid. I had a motor craft filter and a new puralator filter and was changing my filters and I was checking the used filter out like i always do and noticed that the bottom seal for the standpipe was a rubber washer and it looked pushed in so i look at the new filter and the seal was flat then i looked at the motorcraft filter and noticed that it had a double o-ring went to the parts store and got a fuel filter that had an o-ring instead of a rubber gasket and the truck has started perfect ever since. So just i would recommend looking at the seal on the filter before you buy it to make sure its an o-ring sorry to write a book lol
