AIH reinstall?

I have been having some issues with my truck On a cold start. Yesterday after work it was 24, not plugged in let glow plugs stay on for thirty seconds and nothing. Relay is good. Last year it started with no problem. Finally the truck started after twenty mins plugged in, and three minutes of cranking attempts. I deleted my AIH over summer would turn on at 24 or lower. Advice is appreciated, thanks

The AIH isn't going to get it Start any faster.

Your GPR might be OK, but what about the rest of the system? -> Troubleshooting GPR & GP's

Really I think I may have aged glow plugs but I m scared to try to remove them. I keep hearing how some brands are known to break off in the head. That would cause me to lose sleep at night. Any advice?

Yea, follow the link and check the plugs.

If you have more than a couple of bad ones, replace them all and it will start again! When you get new ones, avoid anything but the Motorcraft ZD-11 plugs (it's the other brands that cause problems, especially AutoLights!)
