96 7.3 shutting off when going up hill

my dad has a 96 7.3 and it shuts off going up hill. It just starts bogging down then quits. Have any ideas what could be wrong?

it just shuts off or does it lose power??

if you haven't replaced the CPS, does so anyway, cheap fix at the Ford dealer.

if that doesn't do it, check the oil level in the HPOP.

It shuts off and most of the time it wont start back till you let it roll off.

It has a new CPS on it.

hpop

hi,the procedure to change oil in hpop is on miantains post i believe thats

I used a grease gun suction type to pull oil out of hpop it takes a while
but it can be done i believe there are marine suction pumps that are
battery operated i could not find one in my area as of yet.
