CPS #s

Hello, newbie here. Great forum, first post.
(by the way, some great kill stories!)
What's the difference between:
4C4Z-12K073-AB and
F7TZ-12K073-A ?

Is the first one just an updated # or ?
Are they they the same thing?
Thanks for some info.

Improved Blue CPS for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke
[IHC#1807339C92] $107.00

Improved Cam Position Sensor (CPS) for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke

International Part Number: IHC#1807339C92
If you own a 7.3L Powerstroke, you may already be aware of the shortcomings of the stock Cam Position Sensor (CPS).

It is common for the CPS to fail causing the engine to run poorly or to stop running altogether and it usually happens at the most inconvenient times, such as in traffic or pulling a load so many owners carry a spare CPS.

A new International Harvester CPS can be installed in the Powerstroke engine and will make the engine run quieter, smoother while increasing performance and mileage.

The IHC CPS provides a stronger more consistent signal to the Ford computer which results in a more accurate injection of fuel and better running engine with easier starts.

Works on all 99-03 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel
94-97 models may require shimming to install correctly.

Thank for good info.
Let me see if I have this correct-
(somebody else may be wondering too)
CPS
Ford # F7TZ-12K073-A = IHC # 1825899-C93
and
Improved Cam Position Sensor (CPS) for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke

Ford # 4C4Z-12K073-AB = IHC # 1807339C92

?????????
Are both the IMPROVED ones Blue?
I thought the blue colored sensors were for the T466?
Help!
How long do you think the Improved ones have been out?

The blue CPS is for the T466, I wouldn't use it, it will retard the timing about 2 degrees.

The other is just a part number change from everything find, I call my dealer and was told no (part) difference in the 2 numbers.

Just checked it out.
Seems the NEW and IMPROVED CPS may not
work as well as the stock replacement.
What do you think?
