Anyone?

I Have A 2000 Excursion With 59k Miles. In The Morning When You
Start It The Motor Revs Up A Little About Three Times Then Runs
Smooth. Is There A Reason For This? The Only Time It Does This Is
In The Morning.

Hi,
I have the same thing happen with my '02 f-550 /7.3
My dealer says it the cold weather feature /IDLE UP
If left alone , the computer will close the exhaust gate valve at the turbo
Raises RPM to build a little heat in the motor .

By touching the brake pedal ,clutch or releasing the parking brake lever
returns back to idle and the timer starts again til the coolant reach
