problems again Motors dying randomly

not sure what to make of this one

I'm driving down the road to have lunch with the wife and it dies in the middle of the intersection, no cranking so i check the fuses and then move the shifter and she fires right up and truck starts seems to run fine then starts missing & the check engine light comes on it dies but fires back up and driving down the road misses a few more times check engine light comes on again but I tryed to pull the codes and there's no codes in the ECU

now sitting in the driveway and I turn the windshield wipers on and the motor dies but I turn them on again and nothings happens but still seems to run fine

Coupla things..

First, the CPS, which one is it? How Old is is? And does this ONLY happen with the wipers ON?

Next, what are you using to retrieve codes? If the light came ON, there Will Be a stored code. Thing is, most code readers don't properly pull codes from our trucks (which are Not, specifically, OBD-II) so, if you've got one of those, generic hand-helds.That's the problem (unfortunately, that's the same thing the Auto Parts Stores use). You need a professional scanner or something with the proper "library" to work right (most here use the AutoEnginuity for proper diagnostics and reprogramming)

I just replaced the CPS from napa, the gray CPS.

seems to my problem.

I recorded a video with my motor running and wipers off, then turn them on and every once in a wile when the wipers turn on it stumbles.

Trying to post the video but it's not workin out so well.

Called ford and they won't fix it..

the napa cps are hit and miss. im pretty sure thats causing your issues, the borg warner cps did this to my truck as well.
napas brand is echlin, but the borg warner one looks the same, i wonder if napa is reboxing BW cps.

id get the delphi hts101 off of amazon or advance auto. smoother idle and more power than the ford cps i used to have .

but a ford cps will work just fine in the meantime.

they said they wouldnt fix it? i wouldnt ever call them again
