i still aint figured this one out
i have a 99 f-250 PSD, i have been having problems with a hard or no start on cold mornins, i changed the GPR and the GPs now it starts fine. now i have a ton of bluish/white smoke that just bellows out. it slowly fades until the truck is at runnin temperature then it quits. i allow my truck time to warm up every mornin or after settin awhile to reach runnin temperature before driving. any body with some ideas?

Hey that's nothing out of the ordinary. Mine does it too on cold starts when I do not have the block heater plugged in. The colder it is, the more it smokes at start up. And it can be quite a bit too....but it's normal. It'll do it for several minutes until it's warm enough and burning all the fuel. If you want to avoid it, just plug it in if you have a block heater. I plug mine at 30 or colder.

Mine does it too. And I live in south florida where it doesnt get that cold but in the summer time it doesnt do it at all. Sometimes I have to try to start it three or four times before it will start if it doesnt catch on the first try, then you should see the smoke roll out of it. Looks like I'm fogging skeeters.

Yeah that's true! ....fogging skeeters!!!! I hope that next year we won't have all the rain we had last spring. Maybe it'll be dry and help cut down on those stupid things!
