engine compression

Ok so I have been looking for a new motor (used) motor for a while now. finally found one with decent numbers which are
1- 408
2-398
3-400
4-400
5-396
6-308
7-400
8-396

How bad is number 6?
I have seen people post 5% -20% difference is this engine a ok one?

Personally, I'd keep looking. #6 inst going to get any bette, only worse. My main concern with it is what caused it to lose that much compared to all other cylinders being at or less then 1% and #6 is at almost 26%. (When averaging the other 7 cylinders)

according to all-data, i want to say, the "acceptable" compression difference is 35%. I know, shocked me too.

OP...does it smoke, poor acceleration, rough idle...etc. Its possible, that cylinder has a bad cup or injector not "seated" correctly or valve hang'n open...lots of variables.

Did you do the test? Can you test again? Check to see if that injector is seated all the way down. Maybe the comp test fitting didn't get seated into the GP hole all the way and leaked by.
