Ok, the swivel socket worked. I got the flange off. I have also got three of the four pedestal bolts out or loose. I can not even get my finger on driver's side rear bolt much less a wrench. How did you guys get to this thing? Is the exhaust intake "Y" suppose to drop down once you get the flange to the turbo broke loose and the clamps to the exhaust manifolds off. The way I see it the only way to get to the last bolt is for the exhaust "Y" to drop down. However I can't get it to move enough for the bottom studs to clear the turbo flange. It as dropped about a 1/16” but no more.
I have been repairing my cars for over 20 years and I have never done anything as tough as this turbo removal. Someone please tell me it goes back together easier then it came apart.
