IPR Code and Shutting off on Cold Start

Been chasing this thing and I am starting to get it cornered. Truck has been shutting off within a couple minutes of a cold start. Will start right back up without any problem and then runs fine. Service engine light comes on before it shuts off. Scanned and showed code for IPR. Mechanic that scanned it thinks oil is draining out of the HPOP reservoir after sittiing a few hours and on the cold start the reservoir is having to fill back up and is shutting off before it gets full due to low oil pressure. On restart reservoir finishes filling before it shuts off. If I understood right that would mean the LPOP is bad. Said it may also be The IPR is bad. Told me to watch the oil pressure to see how fast it climbs on cold start and see if it drops just before shutting off. That was 2 days ago, I have tried it 3 times and it has not shut off again yet.
Here are some pieces to my puzzle:
I have a FRx and a HPx,
I have a new fuel pump
Fuel pressure will sometimes dip to around 50 psi under moderate tow, use to hold around 65-68 psi
I have had a fuel nock for years
I put in a set of Swamps stage 1 injectors first of the year, ran fine
Truck will cut off after cold start and then will start right up and run fine
While being scanned oil pressure read around 480 at idel
Scan showed IPR code
Oil is clean and at proper level
Before scanning I replaced CPS and also tried unplugging fuel bowl heater, niether one of these were the problem

I don't know enough about the IPR or the LPOP to make a good judgement call and was very upfront with the mechanic that I am a DIYer so he is not going to be overly free with info. Any help out there??? Even general info is welcome.

Pulled top plug on HPOP reservoir and there was plenty of oil. Does that mean I need a new IPR?

reman ipr is only 80 bucks from dieselsite worth a shot.

Found oil in the plug of the ICP. Replace it and fixed the problem.
