starting problems w/ 2000 f350, please help!

I have a 2000 7.3l f350, i have been having starting problems for a couple weeks(takes awhile longer cranking before turning over). It has now gotten to where it wont crank, just a single click when i turn the key. i have tested the batteries and they are good, we had the starter replaced last year. I have tried jumping the starter solenoid and all i get is repeated clicks. What could be wrong? I have heard tapping the starter with a hammer sometimes works, is that a good thing to do?

You need to see if the power is making down to the starter . It could have a loose cable somewhere. Also check the connections at the batteries if they are corroded it won't crank.

Make sure it has a good clean and tight connection before dropping money

Where did you buy the starter? Autozone and parts stores as such usually don't last long. Same goes for water pumps, alternators, master cylinders, etc.
