yeah, so i window'd the block today... 01 f350... need a motor now.... who knows where i should buy one. has to be forged rod, maybe more depending on price...... i have a pius lasb non waste gate turbo, 238/100's, srp 1.1, complete fuel system, brand new fully built 7k tranny.... and now i need a new motor, not sure if i should go with a short block.... maybe i should just get a swamps motor with fire ringed heads..idk, need advice..... bottom line, i want to get the full potential out of my current mods, without putting a hole in it again.... the blown motor is a pmr block.. so yeah, i broke it lol!!!

It all depends on what you are wanting to spend, but that's how it goes with about everything. I have a friend that put a Black Mamba 7.3 in his for around 6k and he loves it! For 6k who wouldn't? lol

Buy used and rebuild it. It's not that hard. Just pay attention to torque specs. You can get a rebuild kit for pretty cheap

You popped a PMR motor with hybrid injectors... big deal...

Throw a good used motor in there and drive it another 100k.

You don't need upgrades rods for a set of 238 hybrids. Find a good used forged rod motor and drive on. Swap all your stuff over and be done in a weekend.

Why rebuild it? Clean it up, swap stuff and stick it back in. No reason in the world to rebuild a properly built motor just to say you did...

Now that I have done business with the guy on here that does their head work I would trust them. He's done a few of the stickys for the 6.0 forum
