miss after glow plug install

so I put some new plugs in my truck and now it has a miss. I put new plugs, wires and gasket all Ford OEM. I have rechecked all my conections and nothing. It started up some smoke and the check engine light came on. I dont have a code reader to know what it is saying. Also how can you get the light to go off?

Thanks

unless its a california truck.....glow plugs wont cause a check engine light...meaning the code is crutial to figuring out the wiring problem that probably is the cause for your concern..

Ya I have been on the verge of getting the sct from DP Tuner or the edge evo. Do you thing the oil that went in the cylender could have messed up the injecter?

No, its either unrelated to the repair or its an electrical problem. You cannot put enough oil into a cylender by just replacing a glow plug to cause a problem

I have tripple checked my valve cover and wiring with an omm metter and tryed and old one I had laying around and no help. Is it time to take it to a shop? What can I do?
