'99 Ford F-550 Lacking Power & Rough Idle

Hey fellas, Ive been reading almost on this website for years now. Solved every powerstroke related problem ive had. Although after hours of research i couldnt find a solution to my problem.

To make things short, my uncle bought me a 99' ford f550 from his friend since its a dump and ive got a landscaping company. always been a god guy

although its been 5 days since i had the truck and when i start it it idles really rough. it shakes the whole truck side to side and when the hood is open you can see the engine shaking as well. Also, i did drive it and there seems to be a lack in power. rpms do go up although it seems like if i hooked a 7 ton trailer to it, it would barely make it out the shop..

if u guys can help at all it would be greatly appreciated. i simply cant let a powerstroke off the road...... to many dodges out there

to add to the truck, there is no white smoke or black smoke. seems to blow fine. black smoke when you get the rpms high in neutral

might want to take a gander at the UVCH assy. Either its loose outside the vc's or under it. Look up 50 cent mod. You replace the fuel filter? Also, take a look at the HUTCH mod.

Thanks for your reply. def going to take a look at the 50 cent mod. do you think it may be the injectors giving me the probs? had a powerstroke repair guy tell me he can take a look at the truck for 50 bucks and it may be injectors..

No lights on at all. Dash is clear. Truck only has 195000kms on it so it has a lot of life left in it. Also, being a dump truck i belive it was barely used by the electric company that owned it. although they could have done a better job servicing it. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to diagnose the issue. will definetly do all youve suggested.

alright bud, your comparing a winter start vs a summer condition symptom. That truck in the video, more than likely, could be fixed with running synthetic oil..5w/40...(the romps).

Whens last oil change? fuel filter change?
