7.3 Will not stay running!

I have a 2002 F205 7.3L Diesel. The other day i was driving normally down the road when i quit. Just like i shut the key off. It wouldn't start. Let it sit about 1 hour and tried it and it started up. (no codes showing) I thought it was the CPS so i changed it. still the same problem. Then i tried spraying water on the motor to cool it then it would start right up, but die when it warmed up. I narrowed the spot to the HPOP. I can pour just a little water down there and it will start right back up. Could it be the IPR or a bad HPOP, or ICP sensor? Thanks, Daniel

I'm thinking Arby's.

J/k. Might be the IPR. Strange but definitely possible.

I guess I'll order an IPR tonight. I went to ford today and got another CPS, because so many people think it is the problem. put it on tonight, no change....

Thanks,
Daniel

OMG Dude!!!

You're going to go broke replacing perfectly good parts, one after the other, until you get lucky???

That's not much of a plan, you could probably just take it to the dealership and come out a head

Do you know that for the cost of those three sensors you could purchase a diagnostic tool (the AutoEnginuity) that will direct you to the actual problem for the rest of your trucks life? (plus Many other vehicles you might run across)

And this could be no sensors at all. You could have a problem with your oil, the HPOP, the LPOP, ALL SORTS OF THINGS!

Calm down, step back, start looking at things logically....

Put a gauge on the oil rail and crank her over. You should see a few hundred pounds for it to start and a little over 500psi idling. Cps would be my first thought but I have be working with IPRs lately and found you can really gain performance with more control.

The Ex -box. Total RSD system. See what happens when you let attorneys run your Country!!!! There's nothing wrong with a Democratic society, we just need to get rid of Democrats. 2001 Excursion. 2003 Cobra Terminator all pumped up. Now this is fuuuuuun.
