there is some oil under the pedistal, but i don't know if it is coming from the pedistal. i thought that all that valve does is close to help the engine warm up. and if it is dissconeected it wont close to help the engine warm up.

i don't think that you can over boost because the valve stays open all the time until it gets cold out. some trucks don't even have this valve. i don't think that there is any way that you can over boost by dissconnecting the valve. thank you for your input though

no but the warning is when you have it (wired shut) just a warning..also check around where the arm comes out of the pedestal to see if you have oil up there. If you do then your seals are probably out.

only other oil source in that area is the turbo seals. Easily to replace. easy enough...

ok thank you. i guess i might have to bite the bullet and take it in. i will probly replace the eot sensor first though it is only 10 dollars. i just went for a drive and it kinda feels like my clutch is slipping when i relly get on it. i wonder if it is just something to do with dissconnecting the valvle and not the clutch. i hope so any way. i am almost out of money

what controls the truck and tells it to idle up when its cold outside? i need to replace my turbo pedistal because my exhaust valve is acting up, if i replace this will my truck idle up when its cold? or does something else control this?

There's probably a couple of temp sensors monitoring intake air temp and the actual temp of the engine, and it acts accordingly to warm the truck quicker. That's my guess.......don't quote me!
