OIL Pressure
Ok I have a 96 PSD with an E40d but yea anyhow lol when at Idle my oil pressure is fine right in the middle of factory gauge maybe alittle higher but as soon as I start to drive it dives down and the more fuel I give it the lower t gets It almust comes out of normal and on the L anyone had this issue is it and oil pump or just a bad sending unit??

hmm. Not sure. I've heard the gauges arn't very accurate. Might try putting a mechanical gauge on it and seeing what it does.
If it still does it might be time for a new low pressure oil pump

thought about it I have an auto meter mech oil pressure gauge in the shop for my car lol but I may just hook it up and see what happens see I wasnt sure if it be low pressure or the high pressure or how to tell ??

I’m not positive about the OBS trucks but the 99-03 trucks have a fake oil gauge, it is just on or off at around 9 psi. If yours is a real gauge it will be “low pressure” a 0-100 psi gauge should work fine. I have a cheap 0-100 electric oil pressure gauge installed in my overhead pod so I can watch my real oil pressure.

on the obs trucksthe sending untis were bad to read inaccurate , replace the sending unit first , if the engine is running fine ,doubt very seriously you have an oil pressure issue
