Fuel pump and PCM
'97 7.3 died and won't restart.No wait to start light and tach only flutters a little.Replaced cps.Fuses 22 and 9 both good.Fuel bowl is empty(will sometimes fill up 1/2 way).Truck only has mechanical fuel pump on top of engine.Will a bad PCM prevent fuel pump from working?or do I just have a bad pump?

well the transfer pump is common.

oh and the cam sensor was it grey and was it ford?
