hey bud we got about 15 99-03 f250-350 7.3 trucks for our company and i seem to be the one getting to become personal with em

they basically picked up a bunch of old slope trucks (in alaska) so most of them have alotta idle time and been in the cold (-80) at some times

so they bought 2 more beaters toook the motis and ran the codes and had the 3-7 injector faults and sent those out to get rebuilt put em back in and still came back with a #7 high low open code but the others like the ipc and cps codes are gone replaced those on both trucks but i'm not getting the injector codes on the other


but heres the kicker now that i've done this work i got both truck to this one problem


still a bit of a hard start not much just a extra crank or 3 and it fires up idle fine no smoke to speak of but once you get on it theres alot of turbo lag and then when it spools it's ok but let off and let the rpm's come to about 1200 or so or try and cruise around there it shutters bad and acts like it drop 2/3 cly but will pick back up once ya feather it a bit and run it hard

also on one truck i checking the oil and noticed alot of blow by outta the tube
so i pulled the intake where the breather is and man it's pushin kinda hard well alot...lol s i'm thinking compression test now to see the bad news on the trucks any other idea on what to check and look for budd..?



edit got back to the trucks today after other projects took me away but both trucks have a pretty good amount of blowby on them but i'll do a compresion check and update to morrow also still getting #7 cly balance fault on both trucks
