Started sputtering/jerking then died

I was driving to work this morning and damn it man,

So I was just cruiseing as normal as could be and it jumped, like it had stumbled or something. So i just let it roll off my back not thinking to much of it, Sh*&^ Happens. Well then it does it again about a mile later, twice in a row this time. And the check engine light is on now, Another

So I turn my chip back to stock, cruise to the next gas station to pull in and have a look and the son of a gun dies on me! As I was turning in, so thank god for power steering when it is running.

Now, I let it sit for 30 seconds or so, try to turn it over and it cranks right up. So back to home we go. On the way back it does it 2 more times but did not die. The whole time my CEL is on, when I get home and turn it off, crank it back up and no more check engine light.

What do you guys think it could be? Glow plugs? Bad fuel? HPOP?

Thanks for any help

YUP, I went to have it changed out and it has acted fine so far . So, as for today so far so good.

I was standing there next to the tech at the dealer ship and the guy was reading the codes, my CEL was on , and he says there was no code stored?!?!!??!?! Now tell me that crap dont make sense? It got me confused and concerned, but it has been good for the rest of the day.

Thanks for the help guys.
