10psi of boost WOT????

I only make 10lb boost at wide open throttle and only 15psi with edge programmer maxed on my attitude monitor. The truck has always felt a bit of a "dog" but I guess I should start with 99.5 F450 reg cab with workbox 4.88 rear 4X4 DRW short chassis. 9-10mpg avg, but with edge ez module i got 12mpg and that was set to max performance not fuel econ mode. My new edge with attitude monitor (I bought it used from guy) i can see parameters including egt's now but fuel econ didnt change. I neve see black smoke (unburne dfuel) from exhaust until max setting it puffed out a little. This does not seem normal. possible ebpv stuck?

Check your uppipes, down pipe, up pipe collector, and exhaust manifolds for leaks(soot). If you dont have any exhaust leaks check your CAC boots. The only other things I can think of if none of these fix it is your wastegate actuator might be opening too soon or the EBPV is sticking. Hope that helps!

doubt its the wastgate, the stock one opens at 8 psi anyways
if you cant find leaks then id say the EBPV valve is sticking shut.

One would think, you'd hear an awful sound coming from the downpipe/exhaust.

OP, i'm in same boat...no soot, leaks..etc anywhere. Even tried a different turbo, with the same results. 10psi wot, 14psi with redline unhooked...

Can someone explain to me what it means if more boost is created when redline is disconnected?
