Glow Plug

Hello all again,

Well my truck has been throwing P1395, but is still firing up fine. But in this great state of California I have to get it smoged.

So I must fix the problem. I have researched the code and tested me GPR, and its fine. (side note first tested the air heater relay and no volts, I was so happy thinking easy fix, got the part then realized I checked the wrong relay)

My question is what is the part number for motocraft glow plugs for my truck? 1999
Also my truck is a CA Superduty but I can not see a GPC?

As always thank you for your help
D

Motorcraft ZD-11 glow plugs. Ford also lists F4TZ12A342BA as a part number.

You do not have a GPR you have a Glow Plug Control Module. It is a silver box with two connectors on it, a black and a green. Ford part number YC3Z12B533AA

I have never trouble shooted one of those, so I can't offer much help. I know the Excusions have them too. If you need these parts buy them from Tousley Ford Parts. They are going to be your cheaped route. Call and ask for Mark he will take care of you. Make sure to ask for the online price. They ship fast and will have the parts to you in no time.

Are you sure it is not the AIH realy? If it has two relays next to each other then the truck didn't come from the factory with california emissions or someone changed it.

Ca emissions trucks came with a glow plug module. At least this has been the case with every Ca-emissions truck that I have worked on.
