2001 Motor Swap
Does anyone have any pointers or headsup on a 7.3 motor swap. The motor is complete. We plan on basicly only reusing the A/C compressor. Some people have told me to drop it in with the turbo off. Does that sound right? We are also not sure if we should pull the whole front of the truck off. I've done dozens of gas motors. This is the first Diesel swap...And first Ford. Any insight would be appreciated...

when i watched my buddy pull the motor out of a 2000 ford f-250 it had a ranch hand bumper on the front and alls he did when he took the motor out was take the turbo off for just that little extra clearence, his worst fear was that he was gunna have to take the bumper off, it bolted to the spring shackles which woulda been a pain in the a$$, but ya you shouldnt have to pull the whole front end off just pull the turbo
