Replace Oil pan

I have a 97 F-250 7.3 Diesel. How hard is it to replace the oil pan? Can I just remove the engine mount bolts and trans mount bolts and jack up the engine from the front or do I need to lift it with a engine jack? Anybody done this before? Or just take it in to the fix it shop?

Well there is a way of getting the oil pan off without completely removing the engine, but you would have to disconnect the trans and lift and move forward the engine. However you need to have the engine put on a stand upside down while the sealant is curing. If you take it to a dealer its going to be 1500 bucks plus to have them do it.
