Bad fuel mileage - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

Bad fuel mileage

My 95 7.3 has recently been getting bad fuel mileage. Any idea's what might be causing this? I have went from about 800km from both tanks to around 600- 550km from both tanks.

1995 F250 7.3 turbo
3 inch dp into 4 inch exhaust
tymar intake, Isspro boost, pyro, tranny temp gauges
tow and go shift kit, DIY electric fuel pump system with fuel pressure gauge,bronco tank mod
kcm ss hpx line, stancor gpr, 203 thermostat, 03 starter
TWchip 6 postion daily,econo,tow,street,xtreme,highidle
Banks intercooler and pipe kit,Idm Mod,CCV Mod
Plant drive wvo kit(hotfox,vegmax filters,26fphe, vegthermmega and gauges for cooliant and wvo temp)
Dana 60 front axle swap

some have said it's because of the blend refineries are using for winter.

if you see a light at the end of the tunnel, it's probably just a photon torpedo

yea with the winter blend I get almost 200 miles less on a tank full

1999.5 F350 XLT SD Reg. Cab Long Box 4X4
DP Tuner
6 spd manual
afe Stage II cold air intake
Banks Six Gun tuner (expensive digital gauge)
4" turbo back straight pipe
high pressure crossover line
x-wheel

We have same problem; summer and winter. Gone from 15-18 mpg to about 8 mpg (towing, not towing). Have replaced injectors. 127,000 miles on 1995. Great power, pick-up, speed, etc. Just sucks up the diesel. HELP

my problem was a combination of crappy winter fuel and the o rings on my injectors where leaking. after i fixed the injectors i gained alot back.
