wastegate actuator is bad???

Is it possible for the stock actuator to go bad? Maybe get weak and not hold boost? I followed the adjustment procedure and have it set to 10 psi. It says 5 psi but I figured it might hold better with 10. I'm not sure. I only can get 10 psi of boost and the actuator is my last resort.

As with any mechanical part failure is always an option.Take the line off the acutator and go for a spin. This should keep it closed and you should build boost beause it will not open. If this is the case get a new actuator. I don't run one on my truck becuase I put a van turbo on it, but the van turbo has a larger exhaust housing so over boosting is not as much of an issue.

Future Mods:
Edge CTS monitor, and 4" Exhaust (Manufacturer to be determined).
