Problems after turbo rebuild

Hey guys. Brand new to diesels but very familiar with cars and engines in general. Did a search and couldn't find anyone with my problem so I figured I'd go ahead and post this. Just bought a 03 7.3 f250 and had it for a week before I noticed the mpg were down around 12. I figured this was pretty low so I went on a hunt and found that my up pipes were leaking and also that the intercooler boots were spewing air and oil. I bought the bellowed up pipes and boots and figured I'd rebuild the turbo while I was at it. I also put a Borg Warner wicked wheel on the turbo since the original was pretty eaten up. I finished everything up today and started the truck up. It seems to run ok but there is a very odd sound out of the turbo. There is no whine that is normally associated with the wicked wheels but instead there is a sound more like spinning helicopter blades with kind of a low airy thumping sound. At first I thought it was an exhaust leak but after a thorough inspection that was not the case. My only guess is that it could be the different compressor wheel that is making the weird sound but it has me a little worried. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
