Well I got my 97 f350 4x4 back from the shop fri, rebuilt inj-3in down pipe-new k&n filter- super chps-valve cover gaskets-and wire harnesses and it dosent run any better than it did before. I tried all three settings on the chip and I dont see any differance in any of them. I called the shop and he thinks that there may be an issue with low voltage, anybody have any suggestion on checking voltage.

What kind of power loss are you having? Is it running rough? Any more details you could provide would be great.

My dad had the same problem with his 97'. He never did get it figured out. He changed turbo, Idm, checked all grounds etc., etc. The only thing he didn't change was injectors. He did try a superchips tuner, it helped but wasn't much of an improvement. It always ran the same and got a consistent 10 mpg.

Problem started with me buying this 7.3, I have always had 6.9 and there getting old so I bought this truck, it has 117.000 miles on it and it seams to run okay and have the power of my 6.9 but the fuel milage is about 6-8 miles per gallon, it use to smoke when you first started it up but it doesnt do that since replaced injecters, when I got it out of the shop I could feel that it had better responce for a day and then it was sitting there idaling and just started running rough intermitanly. I cant tell any differance in the 3 settings on the chip. the shop thinks its a volage problem and I dont know howmany volts the injactors need to opperate right

is pulling contribution balance on 3 4 7 cylinder but only on a contribution test doesnt pull codes any other time.
