7.3 odometer
my 97 f350 was to turn 400k ! yesterday, as i watched the numbers creep toward 400.000 miles the odometer reset the milage to 300k . can this be reset, at the dealer? nice the have 100k vanish for resale but i'm sure it will come up , how many miles will these 7.3 go ?? original injectors . glowplugs, starts up at 10 degrees although a little slower

My father bought a 95 E350 new, about 4 years ago, his did the same thing. now we are just keeping track on our own. Its now at 516,000(316,000 showing) like thats gonna make it worth any more.

Its just the OBS speedo design, the hundred thousand digit can only make a 1, 2, or 3. On initial key-on, when all the segments appear, the first digit looks like a reversed 6. Maybe Ford didn't plan on these rigs lasting so long... I noticed the same thing years ago when I was driving a 96 PSD oversize escort truck. Even the dealer will scratch their head when they see the milage drop!! A definate thing to know when looking to buy an old Ford with 3xx,xxx on the odometer.
