rebuilt my 7.3L had problems getting it to start at first after it was all together. Got it to run drove it to town and back was running good just a little weak. It sat for a few days till i could get back to it, it started then shut off and would not start again. Replaced high pressure pump and ipr. Can get it to run now but hard to start and will only run long enough to say that it was running. Looking for some ideas
oil pressure is operating range. all gauges are moving and working fine. Going to check fuel pressure again. engine codes are nothing to worry about. when it does start can get the rpm up to 3 for a few seconds then it will drop down to 2 all by itself then die.
Does it knock and bang when it starts to die? If so it sounds fuel related. Either losing fuel pressure or compression blowing the fuel out of the fuel rail.
